How to engage during the current pandemic in order to further disability rights and legislative interaction

With the changing world and the uncontrollable pandemic there are harsh realities that we have had to adjust to legislative interaction is not a exception to this rule. Prior to the pandemic you could go to your sate representative’s office to have a meeting. However, now that is not an option. In this blog I will cover how do you interact with your legislators on the new platforms being utilized.

  1. Pay attention to who is introducing themselves on the behalf of a legislator very important first step
  2. Utilized the chat box add direct messaging (introduce yourself)
  3. There should be two introductions one to the group and the second one to the representative who is speaking on behalf of the legislator or if you’re lucky enough the legislators themselves.
  4. Be sure to exchange some sort of contact information with that representative I recommend the email
