They never change, regardless of the political climate. It’s a way for your organization to get involved safely. Here are some tips organizations can use to get started. Take advantage of the time we have for where politicians tend to want to engage with the public arena. Utilize these tips and you should be on the right road for Success.

  1. Attend public events Hosted by a political representative. Build that relationship.
  2. Respect the fact that they may already have their agenda set.
  3. Be open minded in the conversation.
  4. Have an honest back and forth when the opportunity arises itself.
  5. Keep in mind no one ever Gets everything you desire. Organizations. must be ready and willing to compromise if necessary.
  6. Stay true to your core values and goals for pursuing this road.
  7. Respect the process that you’re engaging in.
  8. Bring in professional consultancy or lobbyist when necessary. (No one should be doing this alone completely, guidance is essential. Agencies like us provide guidance to organizations and let them know when they need to go to the next level, such as hiring a lobbyist in addition to us.)
