J Gould Consulting was founded in 2019 with a clear mission:
To close the gap between the disability community and the halls of legislative power.

We saw what too many already knew. Organizations serving people with disabilities were being left out of the conversation…not because they lacked passion or commitment, but because they lacked access. The legislative process was confusing, overwhelming, and often inaccessible.

So we stepped in.

It started with a simple but powerful ask:
“Can you train our staff on how to engage with policymakers?”
That one request turned into a calling.

Since then, we’ve helped countless organizations across California and beyond learn how the system works and how to work the system. Through tailored trainings, strategic guidance, and deep community partnerships, we’ve helped agencies find their voice, amplify it, and use it to advocate for the funding, recognition, and policy change their communities deserve.

We’ve seen organizations go from feeling invisible to being heard.
From overwhelmed to empowered.
From hoping for change to leading it.
